PACE Office

PACE” stands for Preceptorship, Advising, and Clinical Experience. The PACE Office is the advising center for pre-nursing and nursing students who are enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and RN-BSN (online) programs at CSU.

The PACE office employs professional advisors with years of advising experience. We will partner with you as you complete your pre-nursing requirements, and we will assist you with applying to the Nursing program.

The PACE staff are dedicated to your success. We look forward to the opportunity to work with you as you pursue a degree at Columbus State University.

Who is my Pre-Nursing Advisor?

FRESHMAN – Kelly Koch in the Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) is the freshman, pre-nursing advisor. Her office is located in the Schuster Student Success Center, room 207.

SOPHOMORE, JUNIOR AND SENIOR – The PACE Office will assign an advisor to students falling into these classifications. Please look at your Academic Advising Record to confirm your PACE advisor.

*Upon entering the nursing program, you will continue to be advised for registration purposes through the PACE office.

How do I schedule an Advising Appointment?

All advisors use the online scheduling program Advisortrac. Please see the Instructions for Advisortrac for more information. Advising is conducted by “appointment only” or “walk-in.” Please note that all advising centers have designated times of the year for appointments and walk-in.

Pre-Nursing (BSN) Advising Dates for Spring 2015

  • August 5 - August 16: by appointment only (Fall 2013 advising)
  • August 19 - 30: No availability
  • September 3 - November 1: by appointment only (Spring 2014 advising)
  • November 4 - November 8 (Early Registration begins): walk-in appointments only during designated times
  • November 11 - December 2 Early Registration (continued) – by appointment only

How do I Calculate my Program GPA?
