More than 90 percent of Columbus State University’s School of Nursing graduates pass the NCLEX, the national nursing licensure exam. That passage rate – well above national average – is a testament to our faculty and the hands-on experiences they provide to our students. Many of our professors still practice what they teach, so they are able to create a relevant four-semester nursing curriculum (starting in the junior year - the first four semesters of course work are pre-nursing.)
Another testament to our success is the fact that the two major local health organizations just committed $1 million to Columbus State’s nursing program to increase nursing graduates and raise the level of nursing education in Columbus.
The School of Nursing is pleased to announce that there are several scholarships available to nursing students. The application deadline for Spring 2013 is February 1, 2013. If you have any questions about Scholarships please call 706-507-8584 or see our Scholarships page for more information. For general questions about our Nursing Program contact 706-507-8560.
We currently offer two online degrees:
Spend your spring break in Ireland exploring the country’s rich culture while gaining a global perspective of health care organizations. Travel to the cities of Dublin, Waterford, and Cork, while learning the impact that nursing in Ireland has had on present day international nursing.
